Use this posting to introduce yourself to me and the class. Just a short note with your name and a little bit about yourself, couple of sentences is good enough for now.
This is also a way to get accustomed to how BLOGs work and how you can make your voice heard too. This Blog is from Google.

Hi Professor Al and classmates! I'm very excited to be back in school, but it's been years. I received by BA at U.S.C. in 1981! I'm working on a certificate in Web Design and Programming to become more marketable and possibly open my own business.
I've been married for 28 years, and have three grown children.
My daughter Liz, was married last August and is at Franciscan University at Steubenville, Ohio working on her Masters in Counseling.
Matt is a senior at Yale, and will be applying to law schools shortly.
Andrew is a Sophomore at Cal Poly and wants to be a Firefighter.
My husband Joe, is an AVP at AT&T and has been there for over 30 years.
I'm a self-taught graphic designer and have been working with computers since our first IBM desktop with dual floppy drives was purchased in 1982 for $1,500.
How's that for some history?
It's a wonderful history, but don't know who you are to give credit to!
Please correct by telling us who you are, thanks.
Prof Al
Hi, I'm Kristina Velarde. I'm taking this class to fulfill the CIS degree in internet. This was to get my feet wet and then get into more programming courses. I have a little puppy named Rocky that is part chihuaha and part pomeranian. He is a handfull. I also like to go running and do yoga in my free time.
Hi All,
My name is Laura Bumpus. I am excited about this class! I have been looking at CS4 and am blown away by the possibilities. I just hope I can keep up!
Question?
I updated my site on the CIS127 Web page but my name and e-mail are running together and I am not sure how to fix that. Otherwise, it seems ok.

Hi everyone,
I'm Ruth Zultner. I live down a mile and a half dusty dirt road which, incredibly, has dsl. I moved here to Penn Valley in 2003, from San Francisco. So I'm a city/country person.
In SF I ran an editorial management and writing services business, and my clients were Silicon Valley tech firms. It was a great little business but as a result of training my Bouvier des Flandres in tracking, protection, and obedience, I realized I wanted to live in the country.
So I left SF and moved to Penn Valley, not far from a dog-training friend, did a degree in horticulture just to unwind, and am now developing some clients in hort and ranching.
I met my husband here! He's from L.A. originally and also loves the country. He just tied the US powerlifting title in deadlift for his weight and age!
I'm taking this class because I want to get a better grip on Dreamweaver. I took and survived the CS62 and 63 so I feel more comfortable now in code view but ... I don't think I'll ever get a handle writing custom functions!!
What I love most professionally is helping people promote their business and tell their story.
Looking forward to this class. Cheerio!
Hi Laura, thanks for being the first to get going, my kind of gal!!
I saw the problem, it's cosmetic the text is too large and the content is running together. I'll spend some time tomorrow with it and see what recommendations I will have. One way to separate the two would be to add a couple of dashes after your name.
The other thing you can do is highlight the text you wrote for the email, go to the insert menu and find insert email, a dialog box will open and convert the text to a hyperlink email address. At that point the text will look different and might separate the two a little bit better.
Anyway, I'm excited to see you ready for action, and there will be plenty of it this term.
Remember to use your personal Sierra College email address for all your communications, it will be the safest way to go.
Prof Al
Thank you Prof. Al - I think it got fixed. This is rather fun I feel like a detective trying to follow the trail to success. The itunes and other videos have been very helpful. Especially the one on linking - my current puzzle.
Have a great weekend.
Hellow professor Al and class my name is Jacob Pelley and i am procastinating it seems right now, however i am quite prompt. As of the 31st I have begun to establish and fulfill my higher education, and I want to accomplish a successful beginning, middle, and end starting with my first terms classes. Which leads me to a confession that i am not experienced in operating computer programs such as these with creating websites. However i am highly intrested in learning and working in this class and strongly regret missing the first wednesday meeting because this class is strangely new to my person and has left me a little disoriented. I know this will change once i get some hands on my textbook and on some experience this wednesday. Plus using also the most important resource of my class and instructor i know i will make it through this beneficial class and ascertain a great new skill and knowlege for my future.
Hi Everybody!
My name is Megan Wisniewski and I have just recently graduate from UC Santa Cruz. I have always been very athletic and very into sports. During my time at UCSC I played volleyball for the University. It was during my 4 years as a Banana Slug & all the experiences that came with it, that proved to me that I wanted to eventually end up in the Sports/Fitness industry.
Since graduating, I am working with Heart Zones USA on a special project. This project requires that I create & maintain a website. That is what ultimately pushed me to take this class.
It was nice meeting all of you, and I am really looking forward to this class!
Megan
Greetings Professor Al and fellow virtual students:
My name is Mark and I’m sorry I’m virtually late. As I wipe the virtual sweat from my forehead (no that’s real), I’m wondering what the heck I’ve got myself into. I’ve never blogged or followed a blog before, but I’ll give this and this class my best shot.
My last computer class involved punch cards. However, my work experience hopefully has given me enough skills to keep up with the class. It has given me the desire to learn more about the internet and web site design. I am currently working on a real estate marketing project that will hopefully help me recover some of the losses I’ve had during this real estate “correction”.
Later,
Mark
Hello!
This is Christian Hollingsworth speaking - and excited to get to know all of you here on this course. I live in Colfax (up in the hils) and I'm working on getting a higher speed connection. I've always worked at only a128kb connection.
I've worked in the web development industry since I was very young - but I'm always interested in "upgrading" my knowledge and getting more versed in web development.
Feel free to read more about me at my Moodle page!
I'm just arriving in Grass Valley from Sonoma County. It's been pretty chaotic since we moved from a home where our family lived for over 30 years and we had accumulated a lot of "stuff". I’ve only just gotten internet connected, so I’m definitely hustling to learn my way around this class when I’ve barely even found my way to the grocery store. I've actually found it rather confusing but then maybe it's the result of total craziness.
I have no idea whether this is the correct place to post this. Seems like there are 2 blogs for the class so figure I'll do both until I figure it out. Sounds like a great class and I look forward to meeting you all. Deborah Brant
Hello,
I am Pam Garner. I am a little tardy with posting because I thought I had posted to this blog. Anyway, I am excited about learning Adobe CS4 but...I must admit I am very unfamiliar with any of this.
Hi, my name is Corey i am 21 years old and i am an international student from Australia. I'm finally starting to get things going in the class, got my textbook yesterday.. and got the full dreamweaver installed the day before. So i'm just trying to catch up on work.
In my spare time i've been cycling alot, just got a new road bike a few days ago. Apart from that i like to play instruments - guitar, piano and drums, and play sports.
